Scholarships and Awards – 2020

The Scholarship and Awards Committee have been working hard to prepare the forms for this year. There have been some revisions, so make sure that you read all the directions carefully.  We are pleased to have Ms. Dot Hill as our new chairperson for this committee.  As stated at our meeting in January we will have a panel from outside to review all the applications and choose our winners.  The forms are attached to this email and ready to distribute to your staff/students.  Please note that each program can only submit two per category. The deadline for ALL entries is January 8, 2020. 

We are looking forward to receiving submissions in all categories from each program, so please make sure all guidelines are followed.  Make sure to remind your staff and parents that they must be a current member of the association in order to be considered. Also please make sure that you sign as the Head Start/Early Head Start Director on the applications that require your signature.  Please remember if the signature is missing for the HS/EHS Director it will disqualify the entry for the submitted application. Last year we had to disqualify programs for not paying their program membership or their were not current memberships on the applicant.

For an added confirmation we are asking that when you mail your applications to please send an email to Christy you will receive a confirmation email stating your applications were received.  Please send your email to Christy Jones at christy@new-frame.com (this is a new email address, so please make note. My other email still works as well).

The deadline has been moved to January 8, 2020. The deadline is firm, so please make sure to convey the importance of completing all forms and returning them to your program’s contact person so they can be submitted in a timely manner. Please share this with your staff as well as your scholarship and awards committee.

Please note that all applications require 5 pictures this year of the applicants. These will be utilized in a slide-show introducing all of our nominees.
